Protect wooden surfaces in constant contact with humidity and sea air with Premium Marine Varnish , which offers solar protection and a glossy or satin finish.
What is Premium Marine Varnish and how does it work?
Premium Marine Varnish is a transparent varnish with a glossy or satin finish, made with modified polyurethane resin and sunscreen. After drying, it forms a film that protects, highlights the grain, beautifies and ennobles the wood.
For which surfaces is Premium Marine Varnish recommended?
The application of Premium Marine Varnish is recommended for wooden surfaces (planed, sanded or rustic) in contact with water or sea spray, used on doors, gates, windows, eaves, linings, roof structures, decks, terraces and outdoor furniture.
How to apply Premium Marine Varnish
Before applying Premium Marine Varnish, the part or surface to be varnished must be clean and dry, free of loose particles, mold and free of oils, greases, waxes and other contaminants. Do not apply to green or damp wood.
New woods
Sand the wood in the direction of the grain, remove any sanding dust and apply the varnish following the instructions on the packaging.
Aged wood (grayish)
On aged wood without any type of finish, apply ClariDeck treatment to restore the natural tone and texture of the surface. Then proceed as with new wood to apply the varnish.
Varnished or stained wood
For parts in good condition, sand with fine-grit sandpaper and apply Premium Marine Varnish .
For surfaces in poor condition, completely remove the previous finish using Montana Striptizi Gel . Then remove any residue from the stripper and proceed as if you were refinishing wood.
Resinous woods
For resinous woods (Cumuru, Ipê, Peroba, Angelim, Itaúba, Jatobá, Maçaranduba, among others) in indoor environments, sand the wood in the direction of the grain and apply two coats of Isolare solvent-based .
The aim is to prevent the exudation (migration) of extractives from the resinous wood and to delay the drying of the varnish.
For external use, apply the varnish directly to the wood. For application with a brush or roller, the varnish is ready to use. For application with a spray gun, the maximum dilution is 5% Montana Turpentine .
