Montana's Tingidor Varnish is a transparent varnish with a glossy finish that changes the tone of new wood, in addition to renewing and waterproofing the surface. Developed with modified phenolic resin and solar filters, it gives the varnish resistance to ultraviolet rays, excellent resistance to friction and hardness. Due to the combination of high-quality raw materials, it offers excellent durability and protection to different types of wood.
It is resistant to weather, sea spray and water, is easy to apply, has excellent performance, dries quickly and spreads well. Once applied and dried, its film protects, highlights the grain, beautifies and ennobles the wood.
Available in Brown, Mahogany and Imbuia.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
For planed, sanded or rustic wooden surfaces, such as: doors, gates, windows, eaves, linings, roof structures and other types of wooden structures in external and internal environments
SURFACE PREPARATION
The part or surface to be varnished must be clean, free of loose particles, dry (moisture content below 20%), free of mold and free of contaminants such as oils, waxes, greases and others. Do not apply to green or damp wood.
New wood - Sand the wood in the direction of its grain, removing all sanding dust, before applying varnish.
Aged wood (grayish), without any type of paint, should be treated with ClariDeck , restoring its natural tone and texture. Then proceed as if it were new wood.
Varnished or stained wood – in good condition, sand with fine-grit sandpaper and apply varnish. In poor condition, completely remove the varnish or stain using Striptizi-Gel - Montana's enamel, varnish and stain remover. After removal, completely remove the residue from the remover and proceed as if it were new wood.
Resinous woods - for indoor use, sand the wood in the direction of its grain and apply two coats of Isolare solvent-based insulating varnish on the resinous wood (Cumaru, Ipê, Peroba, Angelim, Itaúba, Jatobá, Maçaranduba, etc.). This process will prevent the exudation (migration) of resinous wood extracts and delay the drying of the varnish. For outdoor use, apply the varnish directly to the wood.
