How does the recipient redeem it?
At checkout — the cart has a “Use Gift Certificate” option where they enter the code from their e-mail. The balance applies to the order total, and anything left stays on the code for next time.
Can I buy in one currency and have it spent in another?
Yes — that's the point. The voucher's value sits on the code; the buyer pays in the currency they hold, and the recipient redeems at checkout in whichever of the marketplace's seven display currencies they shop in, converted at the rates shown at checkout. A voucher bought in London spends as naturally in Lagos or Accra as it would next door.
Is this cash, or a money-transfer service?
Neither — and deliberately so. A Wigmore voucher is marketplace credit: it can't be cashed out, only spent on goods across the marketplace. That's what makes it safe to send — the value always arrives as stock, supplies or products, exactly as intended.
Does the voucher work with trade prices and any product?
