We are focused on selecting banana leaf from the banana species Musa acuminata balbisiana Colla and Musa paradisiaca L. because they have various advantages compared to other varieties, such as: 

1. Size and Strength of Leaves 

Banana leaves are large and sturdy, making them ideal for use as food wrappers. Compared to other banana varieties with smaller or less robust leaves, such as those from the Musa acuminata, Musa paradisiaca var. sapientum, and Musa acuminata 'Cavendish' types. 

2. Functional Advantages 

They provide a strong natural aroma to the food they wrap compared to other varieties, such as those from the Musa acuminata and Musa acuminata 'Cavendish' types, which may have lighter or weaker aromas. They also offer physical protection to the food, acting as a natural barrier. Additionally, they are eco-friendly packaging materials, reducing the use of disposable plastic.
